Tammy Dame

Program Director - Owosso

Tammy Dame began as the Owosso Outpatient program director in March 2018. Tammy started her career focusing on business, earning a Bachelor of Business Arts from Davenport University, but later shifted careers during the auto industry collapse and received a Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University in 2009.

Early in Tammy's 11-year career, she worked as a therapist in residential and outpatient substance abuse programs. Tammy has also worked with several community mental health systems, including Shiawassee, Genesee, Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham. During her career, Tammy gained experienced with mental health crisis work, managing high-intensive behavioral homes, and crisis residential facilities. Additionally, Tammy has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.

During her free time, Tammy volunteers for several dog rescue organizations. She is an active member of the German Shepard Walkers of Genesee County.
