Personal Care Services

Residential Facilities

Consumer Services, Inc. operates three state-licensed mental health facilities in Michigan. Our facilities are designed for consumers who have a hard time living on their own, or who have a behavioral health disorder that requires constant monitoring.

Staff
Each of our facilities is staffed with highly trained individuals specializing in in-home care. The staff assists consumers with daily living activities, doctor’s appointments, and medications, but allows consumers to be as independent as they feel they can be. Our staff strives to create a friendly and caring atmosphere for everyone. The staff takes the time to listen to each consumer to discover what they really want in their life.

Services
To ensure each consumer receives the best support, our facilities offer additional services:

  • 24-hour crisis services
  • Semi-independent Living Services
  • Payee Services
  • Out-of-County case management

Locations
For convenience and to better serve the mental health community, we have licensed residential facilities Mason and Shiawassee counties.

Supported Independent Living

Consumers who are capable of living on their own, but may need some help or supervision, may rent a room in a Supported Independent Placement home. Consumer Services, Inc. currently provides staff in several Supported Independent Placement homes in Jackson, Battle Creek, Mason, and Shiawassee counties.

Community Living Supports

Consumer Services, Inc. provides personnel to help independent-living clients learn how to live in their community. Community living supports teach clients necessary skills including domestic tasks, transportation navigation, interpersonal and social skills, budgeting, and shopping.

The community living support staff will assist the client, as needed, in the community where they will learn community inclusion, proper social interaction, and navigation.

Consumer Services, Inc. provides community living supports to Supported Independent Placements in Jackson, Calhoun, Hillsdale, Genesee and Shiawassee counties. A community living support can be provided in other counties as needed.

How much will services cost?
Fees for service are based on your ability to pay, and your health insurance coverage. Consumer Services, Inc. accepts most private insurance, and will verify coverage and co-pays upon initial contact.
