Joe Travis
Training Department Director
Joe Travis became the training director for Consumer Services, Inc. in the spring of 2009. Joe is an accomplished businessman with over 20 years of training experience in the mental health field. Joe is able to provide training for professionals in Mandt, Gentle Teaching, Therapeutic Physical Intervention, Toolbox, and soon in CPI and CPR.
Joe is a performance enhancement specialist, whose unique approach to helping people succeed has made him one of the most recognized professionals in his field. Joe has been able to share his knowledge in project management, motivation, and successful non-invasive behavioral modification skills development with hundreds of people across Michigan. His goal is to encourage people to become aware of and tap into a consumer’s internal strengths.
Over the years, Joe has been involved in several committees advocating for the rights of the individuals we serve. He played a large role in the development of employment opportunities for the developmentally disabled population, earning a certification from Michigan State University in Supported Employment.
Joe has four daughters and nine grandchildren. He currently owns and operates a campground with his wife, Cheryl.
