If you have interest in a contractor position with Consumer Services, Inc., read below to find answers to Frequently Asked Questions. 

Training Requirements

Adult Clinicians
Must have 16 training hours related to mental health services to adults within 150 days of employment. Additionally, adult clinicians must continue to complete 16 training hours every two years after their initial year. 

Child Clinicians
Must have 24 training hours related to mental health services to children within 150 days of employment. Additionally, child clinicians must continue to complete 24 hours of children related training hours every year after their initial year. 

All Clinicians
Must have 24 hours of Co-occurring Disorder trainings within the first year of employment with Consumer Services, Inc. These can be done online or in face-to-face trainings. Additionally, all clinicians must complete 12 hours of Co-occurring Disorder training bi-annually thereafter. 

Children's trainings are good for one year from the date show on the certificate.
Adult and Co-Occurring trainings are good for two years from the date of the certificate.

Other ways to find training are through seminars, conferences and meetings offered by PIHPs. 

Application for Credentialing and Privileges

Consumer Services, Inc. does credentialing in January to ensure all contractors are in compliance and able to receive a new contract in April. All training must be completed 1/1/2011 through 12/31/2011 - this will be for the 2012 credentialing year and contract. When completing the credentialing, the date of the application will be 1/1/2012 and the contract date will be for the year of the contract. All training needs to be documented and affixed to the Application for Privileges packet turned into the Human Resources - Contract Department.
