Cheryl Travis
Director of Housing Services
Cheryl Travis has more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She began her career at age 18 as a direct care worker, and within two years, earned a fast-track promotion into management. Cheryl’s natural leadership ability helped her earn several promotions, and is now the regional housing director for Consumer Services, Inc.
In Cheryl’s time as the housing director, she has been a key strategic and tactical contributor in the 10-fold growth for the residential program. Cheryl brings valuable insight and knowledge regarding the leadership and management challenges faced by small start-up and growing companies in the mental health field.
Cheryl’s extensive experience in mental health, training, case management and leadership have given her flexibility in responding to changing mental health guidelines. Cheryl is able “wear many hats” in the effort to meet and exceed corporate goals and challenges.
Cheryl is married with four daughters and nine grandchildren and enjoys spending time with her family. She was born and raised in Jackson, MI., and currently owns and operates a campground and canoe livery in Hanover with her husband, Joe.
